Imaani (singer) was born in Nottingham and moved to Derby at the age of five. She never believed she could make a career out of singing but seven years ago, a chance meeting with a record producer drew Imaani into the music industry. From the first moment she sang and was paid for it, she knew she wanted nothing else. Imaani has worked with an array of popular artists from Lulu to the Pretenders and James Brown to Michael Bolton. A highlight of her recent work has been a world tour with Incognito.
